'Buckdancer's Choice' is a finger picking guitar piece played here for Stripped Down TV. An old time, traditional tune, it was usually played on banjo. From my home in the Gatineau Hills, here's special guest Cara Luft and I singing the classic old time tune 'Wayfaring Stranger'. I love singing duets and Cara Luft is one of the finest folk singers around. This was a huge treat for me. Cara was a founding member of 'The Wailin Jennys' and currently performs with J D Edwards as 'The Small Glories' https://thesmallglories.com/ They are incredible - check them out! Cara's Clawhammer Banjo prowess is also featured on my song 'Southern Angel' posted on my channel here too. Wayfaring Stranger is a wonderful traditional song, sung and played by almost every Folk and Bluegrass singer. It's been used in movies and TV show soundtracks as well. I've always loved it so having Cara in the studio was too good an opportunity to pass up. Corey Ticknor's Mandolin adds a nice counterpoint, creating a little tension and atmosphere. Special thanks to Lloyd Peterson for asking Cara to come by and, of course, to Cara for adding her talents to my project.
